@fabu,

Great suggestions. The CSS options sound very doable, so keep an eye out for that.

I'm still stuck between Accordeon and Tabs for the new UI. I'll have to sketch out each to see which one is easier to use.

Previewing the icons will definitely be there.

I'm a little confused on the "reply" feature you mention. Doesn't clicking "reply" automatically insert a reply box below the comment already?

@donnacha,

I'll look into how difficult this will be to implement. If worst comes to worst, it will be in the 4.1 version.

@2headedboy,
Perhaps you're asking for a different feature.

What the blacklisting does currently is just updates the "blacklist" box in your Settings->Discussion area. All the blacklist does there is mark comments as spam that match certain criteria. Adding a batch feature to spam already spammed comments would be redundant.

Can you please elaborate on how you would like this batch blacklisting feature to function?

@all,

Thanks for the feedback. Keep it coming.

Is there a way to batch blacklisting comments? Right now, it seems like you can only do them one at a time.

When I go into admin and see 18 spam, I'd like to mark them collectively and blacklist them. Big time saver, me thinks.

Thanks for a great product, Ronald!

It would be good to see Automattic's After The Deadline service integrated, as I suggested in your Feature Requests section a couple of weeks ago:

One of the requests that I would have, is to be able to more easily change a few of the CSS options, like changing from bold text to normal text in the comment view.

Another one would be to be able to easily change the font when I use the "Edit comment" option, because the font seems a bit too large there.

One important one is that the admin panel is way to long, and is on the same page. Accordeon style sounds good but you might also consider displaying it using tabbed option, like in the FancyBox for Wordpress Plugin.

So, instead of having one long page with options, you can sort them by some categories and use a tab panel for each one, while still using the same main page, but it will look much better.

Another one would be to be able to preview the themes icons when I choose them from the admin panel, because now I have to choose one, save the page, then refresh

One more thing, but this one is a bit complicated and might not depend on this plugin, but here it goes: I use "MCEComments" plugin and it't really great, because it adds some basic functions for editing the font of the comments, when somebody writes them. However, this is a very old plugin and it conflicts with "Ajax Edit Comments".

But another thing this plugin does is to offer the reply option instantaneous. Without it, when someone clicks to Reply to a comment, then the whole page is being reloaded and you get a Reply field on the bottom of the page. With that plugin on, the reply filed just popus up below the existing comment, without refreshing the page. I think it has something to do with comments.php.

So, just an idea, it would be super fantastic if you could take that function and put in your plugin and maybe a few basic mce functions for the comments.

I may be asking too much, but you wanted feedback and here it is

Other than that, it's a great plugin and I am happy to use it! Keep up the good work!

Cheers,
Cristian

<strike>Remove trackbacks from the comments loop.</strike>

<strike>Remove 'no-follow' from comment links.</strike>

Add feature/bury feature and add appropriate classes in comment meta for styling.

<strike>Improve de-link feature to include removing all links within a comment (likely configurable in the admin panel).</strike>

<strike>Ability to disable self-pings.</strike>

<strike>Improve the e-mail feature.</strike>

Add a white-list comment feature for trusted commenters.

Bulk Options for blacklist, de-link, move in edit-comments.php view

As you can imagine, 4.0 will be a huge undertaking. However, I'd appreciate your feedback on the features. If you have your own requests for 4.0, please post them below. If we don't include them in 4.0, perhaps in a later version.
